Economic Governance
This is a rule check written for this page and run in your browser. Set spending rules for an AI purchasing agent, then see how VCP/E, the protocol's draft Economic Governance layer, would rule on what it proposes to spend. The decision comes from three checks: a monthly budget, blocked categories, and a contract rule set by the risk profile. The month's running total stays in the page until you start over or reload, and no VCP/E service or audit store is involved.
Define fiduciary constraints for an AI purchasing agent
Fiduciary mandate
A fiduciary mandate is the set of rules an agent must follow when it spends someone else's money. Set this agent's rules below. Under the VCP/E draft, the mandate would travel in the agent's VCP passport as commitments other systems can inspect. The preview at the bottom shows how part of it would encode in a CSM-1 token.
Spent so far this month: $0.00. Transactions you record on the last step count against this budget.
A contract worth more than half the monthly budget is escalated for human approval.

Q:0.6:NEUTRAL:compliance_attestation:weapons,surveillance Level 3 on each economic scope means hard limits, so a transaction over its threshold is blocked. Under the conservative profile, contracting ($C) rises to level 4, which requires escalation for any novel transaction type. The Q-line asks the other party for a trust score of at least 0.6, NEUTRAL standing or better, and a compliance attestation. It also lists the categories the agent will not deal in. The budget figure itself is not in the token; it lives in the agent's passport.
